Until now, 157 people have been rescued as part of the response activities in the Black Sea coastal province of flood hit Giresun which is carried out by 988 member teams made up of AFAD, Gendarme, Police Department, Coast Guard, Highways, UMKE, Turkish Red Crescent, AKUT and IHH and 2888 vehicles.
35 of the 118 village roads which were closed due to the flash flood and landslides in the region were opened. Activities continue without interruption in order to open currently closed 83 village roads.
Flood and landslide caused electricity shortages in 70 villages and 8 neighborhoods and teams managed to fix the electricity network in 49 villages and 4 neighborhoods. Activities continue in remaining 21 villages and 4 neighborhoods.
The Government has sent TL 9 million Urgent Aid Allocation to the region for rehabilitation.
Search and rescue activities continue in order to find the missing people.
