Minister of Interior Affairs Süleyman Soylu said during his speech at the Kindness İftar Meal organized by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) that religion has educated the Turkish people and Türkiye has been offering its helping hand to all oppressed people in the World in line with its religious belief.
“Every nation has a direction but it is not always based on kindness and solidarity. Thanks to Allah, our direction is right. We never suspended our conscience. We never harmed any other country. Some people are wondering how Türkiye became a country which offered most humanitarian aid to other countries although it was suffering 20 years ago,” said Soylu.
"Turkish NGOs showed the world how grandchildren of kindness civilization would act”
Soylu stressed the importance of being a secure country, nation and state adding that, “Thanks to Allah, our people got together and they were not afraid when we built briquette houses in Syria although there were all kinds of risks and no public order. They offered their helping hand to 3.9 million people living in İblid.”
Noting that Turkish NGOs showed the world how grandchildren of kindness civilization would act, Soylu went on to say that:
"We are neighbors to a region where two terror organizations namely ISIS and PKK/PYD destroyed state authority in Syria and Iraq. We are aware of what happens in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen. We will be the center of hope and kindness. We are the accredited kindness nation of the world. We are sending kindness trains to Afghanistan and kindness vessels to Lebanon.”
“If they had the chance, they would destroy all charity organizations”
Soylu reminded that Turkish NGOs joined forces with the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) for the construction of more than 60 briquette houses in Syria and also during natural disasters in Türkiye.
“There was a time when certain people wanted to monopolize charity work. If they had the chance, they would destroy all charity organizations. But our nation did not allow them. Today, we are opening schools, kindergartens, hospitals, mosques and soup kitchens all around the world,” said Soylu.
