The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and the Turkish Pharmacists’ Association signed a protocol to strengthen cooperation between two institutions.
Acting Head of AFAD Hamza Taşdelen and Chairman of and the Turkish Pharmacists’ Association Erdoğan Çolak attended the ceremony organized on the occasion of the protocol signed as a part of the 2021 Disaster Training Year activities.
Addressing the ceremony Taşdelen disclosed the contents of the cooperation protocol.
“AFAD is working in an effort to raise awareness about disasters as a part of risk reduction activities. We are aiming at giving disaster and disaster awareness training programs to 51 million people in 2021. We are cooperating with ministries, public offices and nongovernmental organizations in an effort to achieve this goal,” said Taşdelen.
Taşdelen presented the Turkey earthquake hazard map and an emergency bag to TEB Chariman Çolak as a gift.
