The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) is cooperating with ASELSAN within the framework of the 2021 Disaster Training Year in Turkey. AFAD has signed two protocols with ASELSAN for the training of disaster awareness trainers and training of stakeholders. The protocols will be an important part of the training campaign of AFAD and will allow training of different parts of the society.

2021 is declared as the Disaster Training Year in Turkey. AFAD continues to increase the number of cooperation activities in order to disseminate training programs. Recently, AFAD signed the “Disaster Awareness Training Cooperation Protocol” with ASELSAN. The protocol signed by the Deputy Head of AFAD Önder Bozkurt and Deputy General Manager of ASELSAN Assistant Professor Hakan Karataş  will allow training of disaster awareness trainers and training of stakeholders. Meanwhile, AFAD Volunteering System will provide the opportunity to organize distance and face to face training about civil defense and case of emergency in the workplace.

ASELSAN personnel will be encouraged to join AFAD Volunteering System

Within the context of the protocol, the ASELSAN personnel will be encouraged to join the AFAD Volunteering system and support those who want to become volunteers during disasters. All written, visual and audio material design and contents will be prepared by AFAD. Two institutions will organize face to face and distance training programs and provide technical infrastructure and equipment.
